Atherosclerotic heart disease is the most important cause of mortality in most countries.ABCA1 transporter is responsible for making and forming of HDL particles and therefore probably plays a crucial role in prevention of atherosclerosis. The purpose of this study was to assess the effect of Moderate resistance training on lymphocyte cells ABCA1gene expression in male with Coronary Artery Disease.
Twenty three patients with 45-66 ages were randomly selected and assigned into two groups: control (n=11), and experimental group (n=12).Moderate resistance training was implemented for 60 minutes at three sessions in weeks for eight weeks at 40-60% one repetition (RM). Blood sample of subjects were collected before and after training. Lymphocyte cells were separated and m-RNA purification was performed by Real–Time PCR. Data was analyzed by ANCOVA by SPSS software (P<0.05). Results showed that expression of Lymphocyte cells ABCA1 m-RNA was significantly increased and ratio of LDL-C to HDL-C was significantly decreased in experimental group. There were no significant differences in mean HDL-C, LDL-C between groups.
It can be concluded that moderate resistance training increases the expression of ABCA1 gene on lymphocyte cells, improves the function of reverse cholesterol transfer, and probably prevents of repetition of Ischemic.
