Abstract
Introduction: blood coagulation and fibrinolysis include two vital physiological system, which are regulated by a balance between activators and inhibitors. The purpose of this study was to campare the effect of two types high intensity interval training (HIIT) on some coagulation and fibrinolysis.
Methods: 24 girls with mean age 25/75±1/18 y and Weight 74.51 ± 6.27 kg, randomly divided into three experimental group: HIIT1(n=8), HIIT2 (n=8) and control (n=8). group HIIT1 performed four sets of 30 seconds of running per session with an intensity of 19 to 20 the rate of perceived exertion (RPE) and two minutes of rest between sets. HIIT2 group ran four sets of 60s with the same intensity and four minutes rest, training protocol performed three times a week and four weeks .Mixed analysis of variance (ANOVA) test was used to analyze the data at the significant level (P <0.05).
Results: Only in HIIT1 group P-LCR (P=0.048) and MPV (P=0.001) had significantly changes. Plasma fibrinogen in each experimental groups significantly decreased (P<0.05), the difference between groups was significant only between HIIT1 and control groups (P=0.025). t-PA and PAI-1 levels in the two experimental groups showed a significant increase and decrease, respectively (p<0.05). PPT index showed a significant change only in HIIT1 group (p = 0.042).
Conclusion: four weeks of HIIT may reduce coagulation parameters and improve the fibrinolysis process. It seems that in short term HIIT (30s) with better economic activity and lower total volume than midterm HIIT (60 s) is obtained usefulness benefits.
