Gelatinases degrade components of tendon tissue. Thus, in this research, the effects of gender on serum gelatinases (MMP-2 and MMP-9) at rest and in response to acute endurance exercise were investigated. 15 healthy and active men and 15 healthy and active women participated in this study. Subjects exercised for one hour at 70% of VO2max on an ergometer 72 hours after VO2max had been determined. Two mls of antecubital vein blood was collected before, immediately after and 2 hours after the exercise. Serum MMP-2 and MMP-9 were measured by ELISA method. ANOVA with repeated measures and one-way ANOVA were used to analyze the data (P?0.05). The results showed that MMP-2 and MMP-9 at rest in men and women were not different. MMP-2 decreased in both groups immediately after the exercise while this decrease in women was not significant. Serum MMP-2 did not change in both groups in response to the exercise. There was no difference in the changes of MMP-2 and MMP-9 in response to the exercise between the two groups. According to the results of this study, the gelatinases at rest and in responses to acute exercise is not an effective factor in more vulnerability of tendon tissues in women in response to the exercise. Presumably, other hormonal and structural factors of women’s tendon are responsible for more injuries}, keywords = {Degradation of collagens,endurance exercise,Gelatinases,Gender}, title_fa = {نقش جنسیت بر مقدار ژلاتینازهای سرم (MMP-2 و MMP-9) در حالت استراحت و در پاسخ به فعالیت استقامتی حاد}, abstract_fa = {میزان آسیب بافت تاندون در زنان متعاقب فعالیت ورزشی بیشتر از مردان است. علت این تفاوت هنوز معلوم نیست. ژلاتینازها اجزای تشکیل دهندة بافت همبند را تخریب می کنند. بنابراین هدف از این تحقیق، بررسی نقش جنسیت بر مقدار ژلاتینازهای سرم (MMP-2 وMMP-9) در حالت استراحت و در پاسخ به فعالیت استقامتی است. 15 زن و 15مرد غیرفعال سالم در این پژوهش شرکت داشتند. 72 ساعت پس از تعیین V02 max، آزمودنی‌ها یک ساعت چرخ کارسنج را با شدت 70 درصد V02maxرکاب زدند. 2 میلی لیتر خون قبل، بلافاصله و دو ساعت بعد از فعالیت، از ورید بازویی آزمودنی ها گرفته شد. MMP-2 وMMP-9 به روش الایزا اندازه‌گیری شدند. نتایج نشان داد که مقدار ژلاتینازهای سرم در حالت استراحت بین مردان و زنان متفاوت نیست. همچنین مقدار MMP-2 سرم بلافاصله بعد از فعالیت در هر دو گروه کاهش یافت، ولی مقدار این کاهش در زنان معنی دار نبود. مقدار MMP-9 سرم در هر دو گروه در پاسخ به فعالیت تغییر نکرد. همچنین تغییرات ژلاتینازهای سرم در پاسخ به فعالیت بین دو گروه متفاوت نبود. براساس یافته های این تحقیق مقدار ژلاتینازها در حالت استراحت و پاسخ آنها به فعالیت، عامل تاثیرگذار بر آسیب‌پذیری بیشتر بافت تاندون زنان در پاسخ به فعالیت نیست. احتمالاً عوامل ساختاری و فیزیولوژیکی دیگر در تاندون زنان عامل آسیب دیدگی بیشترباشد.}, keywords_fa = {Degradation of collagens,endurance exercise,Gelatinases,Gender}, url = {https://jsb.ut.ac.ir/article_21998.html}, eprint = {https://jsb.ut.ac.ir/article_21998_10ce3de1a5619cd1ddc874808ff3c087.pdf} }
